TurboDataPulse is a five-person indie studio working out of a converted warehouse in Fitzroy, three doors down from the Rose Street markets.
We started TurboDataPulse in 2021 after years shipping racing and rhythm titles for larger Melbourne studios. The idea was simple: a reflex game you can finish before your flat white cools, that still respects your intelligence and never nags you for a purchase.
Every pulse, sound cue, and difficulty curve is playtested live at our Thursday open sessions, where locals drop in to try builds before they hit the stores. The result is a game that feels hand-tuned rather than focus-grouped.
No energy timers, no forced ads mid-run, no wallet required. Just a tight loop that rewards the players who read the grid fastest.

Our custom engine renders 120fps pulse trails on devices back to the Pixel 4a and iPhone SE, with adaptive detail so older phones stay smooth.

Every 6-week season adds a free reward track worth 30+ cosmetic chips. An optional AUD $6.99 premium track adds cosmetics only — never stat boosts.

Race the ghost of any leaderboard run, export a 10-second replay clip, and share your best line with the Fitzroy community squad.
Screens pulled straight from live builds — captured on device, no touch-ups.

“I play three runs every morning on the 86 tram into the city. It is the only mobile game I have kept past a week in years — no ads shoved in my face, just pure reflex.”
Yes. The full game, every season’s free reward track, and all core modes cost nothing. The only paid item is an optional AUD $6.99 premium cosmetic track per season. It unlocks skins and pulse trails — never stat boosts, extra lives, or leaderboard advantages.
Android 9.0 and above, and iOS 14 and above. We actively test on hardware as old as the Pixel 4a and iPhone SE (2020). The adaptive detail system lowers particle counts on older phones so runs stay smooth without draining your battery.
You can play solo Pulse Runs fully offline. An internet connection is only required to submit leaderboard times, download ghost replays, and sync your signal chip collection across devices.
Global and Melbourne-only ladders reset every Sunday at 8pm AEST. Full six-week seasons wrap with a finale weekend, after which your rank rewards are delivered and a fresh reward track opens for everyone.
Absolutely. We run open playtest sessions every Thursday from 5pm at our Fitzroy studio on Rose Street. Drop by to trial upcoming builds, or email us to join the remote beta group and get test versions on your device.
